The Ella Foundation exists to assist families who are impacted miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss with financial assistance for unexpected costs incurred by their loss, provide items to hospitals that create personalized memory baskets, create relationships with families that will focus on the memory of their child, and share our own experience to spread awareness within the community.

Our Story

The Ella Foundation was named in loving memory of Ella Marie, whose soul was taken to Glory shortly before her parents expected her arrival. In response to the consolation that they experienced in their grief, Ella’s parents determined to ensure that others who face similar tragedies are also subject to such adequate care.

And so, The Ella Foundation was born.

Note From Amy

It has been brought to my attention that perhaps not everyone has heard about our wonderful organization, The Ella Foundation. This is a non profit organization that assists families who are impacted by miscarriage, still birth, and infant loss. How do we help is a common question. The Ella Foundation sends out care packages, flowers, and edible arrangements to families that we hear about through their church, friends, families, and neighbors. The care packages have a blanket, stuffed animal, and a necklace in them along with some scripture, poems, and other paperwork letting them know about our mission and contact information if they would like to get a hold of us. The blanket and stuffed animal are so special because often parents long to hold their sweet babe and these items can host as something for them to hold closely. We know this from experience as the LORD saw it good to call our daughter Ella home in 2010 when she was still born full term. Through our daughter, The Ella Foundation was born. In 2014 our second daughter, Allie Rae went to Glory half way through her development in the womb. Through all of our grief GOD is faithful and HIS grace is beyond any words I can type. Another way we assist families is offer assistance during their unexpected heart ache. Sometimes this comes through a financial gift, since most families are not expecting the costs of such a loss. Other times it is just needing someone to talk to that has gone through a similar heart ache. We help make picture slideshows, suggest memorial stone companies and florists, and just try to be there as much as we can. I wanted to take a moment and share this with you ladies this morning. Pregnancy loss happens 1 out of every 4 pregnancies and the more women I talk to, the more I realize how many families are affected.
